Aakar Patel – Ah – I have found it, at last. The jackpot it is. He may be great in everything but just look at his poems, he isn’t as good as Gulzar or Galib. Let me catch him on than that and as most people won’t understand what am writing on, there wouldn’t be much problem.

and considering him an average poet is like analyzing Sachin Tendulkar and concluding that he isn’t a good football player. The article is not just a foolish effort from the side of a secular brigade to find some sensation against Modi, but also an absolute non sense which most readers have rejected. Most of us know about how Aakar Patel has gained centre stage using Narendra Modi as a punching box, but this article raises a serious question on his writing skills but also someone who could select something reasonable to write. A few comments that ran down his own page clearly suggested how ridiculous an article it was. Most could be seen calling him “bekaar” patel and clearly suggested that it was yet another lame Congress paid article which would surely not find takers.
One question that Aakar Patel should think and write - if Modi isn’t a good poet, is Sonia a good speaker? India has repeatedly been watching and listening the scripted non affective speeches which Sonia and Rahul Gandhi give every now and then when forced to appear before public. The Fact is that no congress leader today has even half the oratory skills and Charisma which Modi presents. A CM writing poetry to express his feelings is indeed an act of admiration and not condemning. Atal Bihari’s poems reflect his common men feelings and his positive approach to life.
As an anonymous blogger has put it – If Modi is a mediocre poet , Aakar Patel is a terrible journalist!!
Aakar smokes pot before he picks up his pen. He and his likes have created a new genre of literature pol-fi (political fiction).
Stupid he is – He would see check dams across Gujarat as ” the wasted cement lumps” thrown in the river…a man with less head and more style…:P
